Internet trolls, beware — Brandon Sklenar’s got comebacks sharper than his jawline.
On Friday, April 11, MTV dropped a cute little Insta video featuring Brandon (34) and White Lotus darling Meghann Fahy (also 34, because symmetry) dishing out dating advice to celebrate their new thriller Drop.
Seems innocent, right? Enter: the comment section — where joy goes to die and opinions flow like boxed wine.
One spicy commenter decided to shoot their shot and called Brandon a “Walmart Glen Powell.” Yup. Walmart. As in budget-bin, knockoff, rollback-star Glen Powell.
But did Brandon cry into his salad? No.
Did he throw a fit on Live? Also no.
He clapped back with:
“Who doesn’t love a bargain?”

Directed by Christopher Landon, Drop follows Violet (Fahy), a widowed mom dipping her toes back into the dating pool. She meets the charming Henry (Sklenar)… and everything’s cute until her phone starts lighting up with anonymous, creepy AF messages.
The catch? The sender wants her to do one tiny thing:
Kill him.
Yeah. First dates are getting way out of hand.

The release of Drop just so happened to land around the same time 1923, the hit series he’s been lighting up since 2022, dropped its final episode.
“It’s like a universal wink,” Brandon told PEOPLE.
“Like, ‘Hey, good on you.’”
He also reflected on his 16-year journey to leading-man status:
“I’ve been grinding non-stop. This moment feels like the universe finally tossing me a bone. And I’m grateful.”
